Dr. Clayton Sheets

Brother Clayton was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas.  He married Sally Dupree in 1990 and they have one daughter, Caitlin.  Brother Clayton attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary by extension classes and holds a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Louisiana Baptist Seminary.  Clayton surrendered to the Ministry at the age of 15, began pastoring his first church at age of 19, and has served in Southern Baptist Churches in Arkansas and Texas.  Brother Clayton came to serve as Senior Pastor at FBC Danville in June of 2010 after serving in Texas for 20 years.  Clayton has a passion to help people connect to the heart of God.  Bro. Clayton says – “Coming back to Arkansas is just like coming home.”

 Jacady Player
Jacady  was born and raised in Kilgore, Texas.  He served in the U.S. Army from September 1996 until March 2006.  Jacady married Angelica Luna in 1998 while stationed in Germany and they have two daughters, Allegra and Mia.  He attended LeTourneau University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and is currently working on a Master’s degree in theological studies at Louisiana Baptist University & Seminary.   In 2010, Jacady attended the Texas DPS Academy and served as State Trooper in Gregg County until he surrendered to the Ministry in August of 2014.  He was ordained and sent to serve as the Associate Pastor of FBC Danville by Grace Baptist Church in Kilgore, Texas. His passion is training disciples to become disciple makers. Jacady says, “Love God, Love People and Live Life.”

Daniel Morris
Daniel was born and raised in Kilgore, TX.  He earned his Master’s Degree in the Arts of Teaching from the University of Arkansas-Monticello in the summer of 2005.  Daniel was a U.S. History teacher and softball coach  at Danville High School for 11 years.  He married Kayla Morris in July 2006 and they have two children.  Preslea Morris and Landry Morris both attend SC Tucker Elementary in Danville.  Daniel says, ” I am humbled and grateful for the opportunity to serve at Danville First Baptist.  I look forward to impacting our community through our church with the power of the good news of Jesus!”
Jerri Dennis
Jeri Dennis has served as Office Manager/Financial Secretary since September of 2007.  She was born in Ackerman, Mississippi, and her family moved to Danville in 1968.  Jeri became a Christian and was baptized here at First Baptist in August of 1972.  She has worked several places over the years but found her home here at Danville FBC.  She is happily married to Denver Dennis since 1985, and they have 3 children: Cody Dennis of Fayetteville, Jackie & Husband Kendell Pinkney of Conway and Samantha & Husband Dustin Huggins of Russellville.  Jeri’s husband Denver was diagnosed in 2012 with Multiple Myeloma, and he is now in remission.  She found her life scripture through this journey – Isaiah 43:2 “When you pass through the waters I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.  When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames 
will not set you ablaze.”
